Terms of Use

PXM Resource Hub · Effective February 2026

The short version

PXM is a free resource directory for people in recovery. Use it honestly. Don't submit fake or harmful information. Don't use it as a substitute for medical care. We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that harm the community we serve.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using PXM Resource Hub ("PXM," "the platform," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including individuals in recovery, peer recovery specialists, and organizational partners.

2. What PXM is

PXM Resource Hub is an informational directory that aggregates publicly available recovery-related resources including housing, food assistance, mutual support meetings, and treatment options. We are not:

  • A healthcare provider or treatment facility
  • A crisis intervention service
  • A licensed social service agency
  • A referral service that guarantees placement or access
  • A substitute for professional medical, clinical, or legal advice

3. Medical disclaimer

Important

Withdrawal from alcohol and benzodiazepines can be life-threatening. Do not attempt to stop using these substances without medical supervision. If you are in a medical emergency, call 911. For a substance use crisis, call SAMHSA at 1-800-662-4357 (free, 24/7).

Nothing on PXM constitutes medical advice. Resource listings are informational only and do not represent a clinical recommendation. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for decisions about detoxification, medication, or treatment.

4. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the platform.

5. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Not share your account with others
  • Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised
  • Not create multiple accounts to circumvent any restriction

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PXM to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent resource information
  • Submit information about resources that facilitate illegal activity
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Scrape or harvest data from the platform without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
  • Use the platform to advertise products or services without our written consent
  • Enter client-identifying information as a peer specialist or clinician — PXM is a reference tool, not a case management system

7. Resource submissions and reviews

Users may submit new resources and leave reviews on existing listings. By submitting content, you represent that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate these terms.

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any submission or review that we determine to be inaccurate, harmful, spam, or otherwise inconsistent with the mission of the platform. Submissions are not automatically published — they enter a moderation queue before going live.

By submitting content, you grant PXM Consulting LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content on the platform.

8. Resource accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to verify resource listings, but we cannot guarantee that all information is current, accurate, or complete. Providers change hours, locations, and availability without notice. Always confirm details directly with a provider before relying on any listing, especially for urgent needs like emergency housing or detox services.

9. For peer specialists and clinicians

PXM is designed to support peer recovery specialists and clinicians as a resource reference tool. If you use PXM in your professional practice:

  • Do not enter client names, dates of birth, case numbers, or any identifying information into PXM
  • Do not use PXM as a substitute for your organization's approved case management system
  • PXM does not create a business associate relationship with your organization under HIPAA
  • Your use of PXM as a reference tool does not transfer any compliance obligations to PXM Consulting LLC

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@pxmconsulting.com.

11. Limitation of liability

PXM Resource Hub is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PXM Consulting LLC is not liable for:

  • Inaccurate or outdated resource information
  • A provider's failure to deliver services as described
  • Any harm resulting from reliance on information found on the platform
  • Platform downtime or data loss

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of PXM shall not exceed fifty dollars ($50).

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Richmond, Virginia.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
