Privacy Policy

The short version

PXM does not sell your data. We do not store clinical records, treatment histories, or any information protected under HIPAA or 42 CFR Part 2. We collect only what is needed to show you relevant resources. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

1. Who we are

PXM Resource Hub is operated by PXM Consulting LLC, based in Richmond, Virginia. We are a resource discovery platform — not a healthcare provider, treatment facility, or clinical service. We connect people in recovery with local housing, food, meetings, and treatment options. We are not a covered entity under HIPAA, and we do not act as a business associate to any covered entity in connection with this platform.

2. What we collect

We collect only the minimum information needed to operate the platform:

Account information

Your email address and a hashed password when you create an account. We do not collect your legal name, phone number, date of birth, or government ID.

Intake preferences

The answers you provide during intake — your general need types, ZIP code, and urgency level. This information is used solely to generate resource recommendations and is never shared with third parties.

Saved resources and meetings

Resources and meetings you bookmark are stored so they appear on your dashboard. This list is private to your account.

Sobriety date

If you choose to set a sobriety date, it is stored in your account and used only to calculate your days sober counter on the dashboard. It is never visible to other users, partner organizations, or third parties.

Usage analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymized, aggregated analytics — page views, feature usage, and session patterns. This data does not include personally identifiable information and is used only to improve the platform.

3. What we do not collect

  • ✕Clinical records, treatment histories, or diagnostic information
  • ✕Information about specific substances used or treatment received
  • ✕Social Security numbers, insurance information, or financial data
  • ✕GPS or precise location data — only the ZIP code you provide
  • ✕Information from minors — this platform is for adults 18 and older

4. How we use your information

  • ✓To generate resource recommendations based on your intake preferences
  • ✓To save your bookmarked resources and meetings across sessions
  • ✓To display your sobriety counter if you have set a date
  • ✓To improve the platform based on anonymized usage patterns
  • ✓To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Period.

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Supabase

Database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored in the United States.

Vercel

Hosting and deployment infrastructure.

PostHog

Anonymized product analytics. No PII is transmitted.

We do not share your information with treatment centers, peer recovery organizations, government agencies, insurers, or any other third party — including partner organizations like HYPE Counseling Services. Partner organizations may use PXM as a tool with their clients, but they do not have access to individual user data.

6. HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2

PXM Resource Hub is an informational directory. We are not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and we do not store Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA.

We do not store federally protected substance use disorder treatment records as defined under 42 CFR Part 2. Intake preferences and saved resources collected by PXM do not constitute treatment records and are not subject to 42 CFR Part 2 protections. If you are a peer recovery specialist or clinician using PXM as a reference tool, do not enter client-identifying information into this platform.

7. Your rights

Access

You can view the information associated with your account at any time from your dashboard.

Correction

You can update your intake preferences and account information at any time.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@pxmconsulting.com. We will complete deletion within 30 days.

Portability

You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format by contacting us.

8. Data security

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by Supabase. Access to the database is governed by row-level security policies — users can only access their own records. We do not store passwords in plaintext. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using industry-standard JWT tokens.

9. Minors

PXM Resource Hub is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at privacy@pxmconsulting.com and we will delete the account promptly.

10. Medical disclaimer

PXM Resource Hub is an informational platform only. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice, clinical guidance, or a recommendation to pursue or avoid any particular treatment. Resource listings are provided for informational purposes and do not represent an endorsement of any provider. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions, especially regarding detoxification and withdrawal management.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
