Housing
A safe place to sleep, then a place that lasts.
Housing usually happens in stages: somewhere safe tonight, then recovery or transitional housing, then a home of your own through a waitlist. You can work on all three at once. Pick the path that matches where you are today.
How to use this section
- 1
Pick your path
Start with the group that fits today, not where you hope to be in a year.
- 2
Check the details
Each listing shows who it is for, what it costs, and when we last verified it.

Good to know
- Apply to every waitlist that is open, not just one. Lists open rarely.
- Use a mailing address and phone number where you can reliably get messages. A missed notice can drop you from a list.
- Have your ID, birth certificate and Social Security card ready. Most applications ask for them.
